April 27th

I told Lo I was going to our room to watch American Idol and she could stay with Meemaw and Pampa to finish the movie they started. I said I will come back or she could meet me in the room. I have always talked to her like this and it just hit me that she is fully understanding all of it. I love it. She is so smart!

One of Lorelei's friends live next door and his mom brought over a shirt she made that had their picture on it. So sweet! I would post a pic. but don't want to put someone else's kid on the internet without permission. But it is so cute and so nice of her. ♥

Starting to plan/think about a June trip to LA with Amy and another one with Barb and Nate.
Starting a couple new craft projects! Love getting crafty need to find more time for that in my life.

April 25th

I was writing my 'to do' and 'to buy' lists and Lorelei wanted to write hers so she took the pen and paper and started scribbling. I said, play with friends, share, and be good helper. She said 'uh-huh' after each one then added her own 'to-buy' list: chocolate milk and pretzels. I don't know where she comes up with this stuff. These are not things she eats/drinks a lot of. It is usually bananas and apple juice around here.

April 24th

Lots to smile about today. It's Easter.
We had a delicious breakfast:

Then we went out for an egg hunt. Lorelei was having lots of fun. She was practically throwing the eggs in her basket and cracking all the hard boiled eggs. I went straight inside and made egg salad sandwiches. I gave Lorelei the plastic eggs and she 'hid' them and found them while I made lunch.

April 23rd

Ended up being a lazy day for us. Lorelei took a 4 hour nap. Yes, seriously.

Lorelei is getting so good at more focused crafts and tasks! We had fun with the eggs. She really liked cracking them to 'eat'. I ate them. She didn't really care for them.

My poor baby is sick and is very sensitive. But she still finds moments to make me laugh and smile. She was missing me today so we cuddled a lot. She can be super sweet and gave me a lot of kisses.

Lorelei has been sick with a throat infection....that does not make me smile :( However, she has been super cuddly and calm. She is just so stinkin' cute and smart, I can't get over it.
Love her to pieces and hope she gets better quickly and that the meds work.

As we were going to bed Lorelei said, "Mommy, I love you the most." I just melt.

I went to Santa Maria to get the flash for my new camera. I had fun playing with it when I came home.
I also bought Wii Dance 2. It was fun, and I'm sure, funny to see me trying to dance.

April 3rd

Lazy Sunday. We went to the grocery store and besides that we stayed home and laid around! Lorelei didn't nap today so she fell asleep at 6:30. I was able to enjoy a nice BBQ dinner outside next to the fire.
At one point, I turned on Dora in the playroom and when I came back in the room I saw this:

APRIL FOOLS!

Today was perfect. Perfect weather. A trip to the zoo. My favorite part was feeding the sheep and goats. Lorelei was a little afraid so she would drop hers through the fence and say, "get it sheep" and when they would eat the food she would say, "good job" It was so cute.
